The next meeting will probably be in the late summer 2017. Watch this space for news!

Over 40 former members of JEF gathered in Berlin for our 2015 reunion. We kick-off the week-end with an informal gathering on Friday night. We continued on Saturday afternoon with a a debate on ‘How to bring Federalism back on the agenda” introduced by Silke Gebel, member of the State Parliament, Berlin (fmr. VP, JEF-Germany), Ingvild Næss Stub, State Secretary, Norway (fmr. VP, JEF-Europe) Yvonne Nasshoven, Foreign Office, Germany (fmr. President, JEF-Germany) and Pauline Gessant (President JEF-Europe). We closed the day at the famous Claerchen Ballhaus. On Sunday, after a common brunch in Kreuzberg, we held the General Assembly of Friends of JEF E.V. You can find pictures of the event here.
- Brussels 2013 (12-13 July 2013)
Our 2013 reunion was held in Brussels in the heart of the EU quarter and gather over 40 participants. The week-end started with drinks at the L’Ultime Atom, an all-timers of JEF gatherings of any generation. On Saturday afternoon, we engaged in a brilliant debate on “Federalism: still the answer to the future of Europe?” introduced by Julian Priestley (former Secretary General of the European Parliament and former JEF President), Francesco Mazzaferro (currently at the European Central Bank, former JEF Vice President) and Giannis Papageorgious (Professor at the University of Tessaloniki, former JEF President). After a sunny reception in the garden of the office of the Union of European Federalists, and a visit to the new JEF office, we celebrated with a dinner in an Italian restaurant in the EU quarter. On Sunday we closed the week-end day with a common brunch (Pain Quotidian, obviously) and the General Assembly of Friends of JEF E.V. You can find pictures of the event here.
- Paris 2009 (4-5 July 2009)
After an informal, social gathering on the Friday evening, the main event took place on Saturday, 4th July. In the early afternoon we moveed to the Jean Monnet House outside of Paris, had a tour and picnic there – including a buffet and return to Paris later in the evening. Nightlife activities followed and so did a boat trip on the Seine on Sunday. You can find pictures of the event here.
- Berlin 2007 (30 June and 1 July 2007)
On Friday we started our reunion with an international EU-Briefing on the highlights of the German Presidency of the EU and the forthcoming agenda of the rest of the Trio-Presidency (Portugal 2007 / Slovenia 2008). Saturday gathering was hosted in the Paulinenhof (yard of the Heinz-Schwarzkopf-Foundation) in the historic centre of Berlin (Mitte) near Hackescher Markt where the joint office building of the European Movement Germany, UEF Germany (Europa-Union) and JEF Germany is located. The evening had the character of a Biergarten combining party and political talks during BBQ. Sunday we went on a boat trip on the Spree, just 5 min from Paulinenhof, including “Katerfrühstück” and sightseeing. You can find pictures of the event here.
- Brussels 2005 (20-21 May 2005)
The 2005 Friends of JEF event took place over the weekend of 20-21 May in Brussels. We started the weekend in a relaxed way over a pint in a local pub. On Saturday, a panel discussion on topical political questions (an FC without the fighting for votes and wrangling over resolutions). The climax of the get-together was on Friday evening with a drink reception and formal dinner close to the European Parliament. You can find pictures of the event here.
